Our interactive quiz shows you 25 carefully selected names. Swipe or tap to like, dislike, or love each name. Based on your choices, we learn your preferences and recommend names that match your style. All your selections are stored privately in your browser—never on our servers.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. NameVibe is privacy-first by design. Your shortlist, search history, and quiz results are stored only in your browser using IndexedDB. We never collect, store, or share your personal data on our servers. Your naming journey is completely private.
How is AI used in NameVibe?
We use AI only for semantic search—helping you find names by meaning rather than just alphabetically. When you search for "brave and kind," our AI understands your intent and finds relevant names. If AI fails, we automatically fall back to keyword search. No AI is used for personality scoring or other features.
How many names are in your database?
We have over 1,000 curated baby names with detailed meanings, origins, personality profiles, and pronunciation guides. Each name is carefully selected and includes information about cultural background, popularity trends, and symbolic significance.
Can I compare names side-by-side?
Yes! Our comparison tool lets you compare up to 5 names at once. You'll see personality profiles, pros/cons, weighted scores based on your priorities, and a decision confidence indicator. Adjust the importance of each dimension (strength, creativity, etc.) to reflect what matters most to you.
Does NameVibe work offline?
